PRIVACY POLICY

LootLounge (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates lootlounge.net. This page explains what information is involved when you use the site.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not run user accounts. We do not sell personal data. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you send so we can reply.

We keep a simple visit count on our server: how many times pages are viewed, and a rough unique-visitor total. That uses a first-party cookie so a refresh is not counted as a new person. We also count how many times Steam, GOG, and Amazon buttons are clicked, as totals only — not who clicked. We do not log IP addresses for this, and we do not use Google Analytics.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

These services may collect data independently:

• Google AdSense — advertisements. Google may use cookies. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — typefaces loaded from Google, which may log your IP address.
• Steam Store — we fetch public UK store JSON (featured lists, search, prices, and short descriptions when you tap Info). We do not send your name or email to Steam.
• GOG — we fetch public GBP catalogue JSON and product descriptions when you tap Info. We do not send your name or email to GOG.
• open.er-api.com — optional currency rates for display. No user data is shared.
• Amazon UK — console and merch buttons open Amazon UK search for that title. Those are ordinary store links, not affiliate tags.

Game prices are loaded from Steam and GOG, not from a third-party deals aggregator.

COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

We store theme and currency preferences in your browser’s localStorage. That is not sent to our servers.

A first-party cookie (ll_vid) identifies a returning browser for the visit counter. It is a random ID, not your name or email. You can delete it in your browser settings; the next visit is then counted as new.

Google AdSense may set cookies. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google’s Ad Settings.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Contact-form messages are used only to reply. Public store JSON is used only to show prices and game info. Ads fund the site. We do not add affiliate tracking to buy buttons.

DATA RETENTION

We do not keep a customer database. Emails you send sit in the inbox they were delivered to. Theme and currency choices stay on your device until you clear site data. Visit totals are stored as counts (and daily totals for up to 90 days), not as a list of people.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR you can ask about personal data we hold. For the public site that is typically only a contact email you chose to send. Use the contact form if you want a message deleted from that inbox.

CHILDREN

LootLounge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

CHANGES

The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change if we revise this policy.
